Harlan-Evans, Inc. has been working with Fortune 500 companies since 1986.

We have designed, delivered and managed training projects for groups ranging in size from 6 to 30,000 people. Our client list of past and current clients includes many well-known companies including: Avon, Bayer, General Motors, Northwest Airlines, Lucent Technologies, Amoco, Pepperidge Farms, Farm Credit Services, Peabody Coal, Kellogg, Rockwell Automation, Microsoft and many others. We have delivered our programs both domestically and internationally.

We have three main thrusts to our work with clients.

  • Individual coaching with senior leaders: A client might choose Harlan-Evans over other coaching options because of the nature of our expertise. Senior leaders often struggle with one or more of the following issues: style issues, personality conflicts with other strong leaders, inability to differentiate themselves, leadership presence, finesse, etc. Our ability to help senior leaders identify the root issues of their problems allows us to create real change where others might help modify behavior temporarily. Toni Lynn Chinoy has written and published numerous books and articles on Power Games, Handling Difficult Situations, Bullies, Crisis Management, and the Logic of Effective Leadership.
  • Large scale training and change initiatives: We employ an integrated approach, using both intuition and analytical processes to help groups and individuals understand the root causes underlying issues. We understand Leadership as a responsibility belonging to everyone and have successfully introduced dramatic culture change in companies in the oil industry, automobile manufacturing, the airline industry, the coal mines and others. Our programs and initiatives have been well received by all levels.
  • Group work with senior leadership groups: We understand both the importance of and the difficulty with team work at every level. Our ability to bring diverse people with high ego strength together around difficult initiatives with high stakes has been one of the mainstays of our business.
